Day of Prayer & Fasting: Prayer Requests

“Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples”  Psalm 96:3

When we asked one of our supporters to pray about a meeting we had with a potential partner, she told us that she would pray during that meeting but also, that she planned to fast and pray for us on Monday, October 1st. We are so thankful for her love and support, and the encouragement to set aside this day for prayer and fasting. We would be so thankful if you’d like to join us, especially on this day, as we spend more time with the Lord in prayer.

The following is a detailed list of prayer requests:

As we develop ministry partners for Africa, please pray for us, that:
• We would be strong in the Lord and put on the full armor of God so we can take our stand against the devil’s schemes. (Ephesians 6)
• We would run with perseverance the race marked out for us, that we would fix our eyes on Jesus, & that we would not grow weary & lose heart. (Hebrews 12:1-3)
• We would always remember that God is the provider. “He is the one who works in people’s hearts to move them to participate in His work through giving.” (The Sower, P. 40)
• God would give us more opportunities to share about this ministry and its goals with people who have a similar passion

As we develop ministry partners for Africa, please pray for God’s Church, that:
• God’s children would obey His Great Commission: that through prayer & giving, they can be a part of making disciples of all nations…” (Matthew 28:19-20)
• Christians in America would not store up for themselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But that we would store up for ourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:19-21)
• God would help His people not worry about their lives and their personal finances how the rest of the world does, but instead to trust Him. May people make choices based on faith, not fear. “Therefore, I tell you, do not worry bout your life, what you will eat or drink,; or about your body, what you wil wear…But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:25-34)
• That we would be on our guard against all kinds of greed and that we would be rich towards God (Luke 12:13-21)

As we develop ministry partners for Africa, please pray for Africa, that:
• God’s Word would be heard throughout Cameroon and beyond it’s borders. (Acts 19), including the 16 unreached people groups in that country.
• More Cameroonians would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord, and that they would believe in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead. Cause more Cameroonians to call on Jesus name and be saved.” (Romans 10:9, 13)
• The Christians in Cameroon would continue to live in Christ, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as they were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. (Colossians 2:6-7)

“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.”
Matthew 9:37-38
