Plane tickets, packing, and parties!

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.  Ephesians 3:20-21

As many of you know, we are so happy to share that after a very long journey, we are now fully funded! The Lord has been so good to us, and He has been so faithful. He has done incredibly more than we could ever imagine!  He is amazing, and His timing is perfect! We are so thankful for each one of you who has invested in our family and in the Lord’s work. We could not go without your faithful prayers and generous giving. So many of you are a part of this with us! We ordered plane tickets for Cameroon, Central Africa, for May 14th! We praise the Lord that He has already worked out the details for a good home for our family to rent! (It’s within walking distance to Josh’s school!) And our team leader found a car for our family! When we learned that we could order our airplane tickets, we knew that our days in the States would get very busy, and they have been! We have been busy packing and taking care of tons of details that come with moving overseas… ordering our visas, making sure we have all of our vaccines, shopping for things that we need that we can’t get in Africa, filling out lots of necessary forms, and many, many other things! I’m glad that Mark and I have each other to tackle our to-do list! But, it has been important to us that we balance all of these tasks with time with those we love!… coffee with my aunt, time with my cousin at a pottery shop, an overnight get-away with my mom in Chicago, an overnight trip at a water-park with our best friends, and dinners with special friends. We also planned a surprise birthday party for our kids (who have summer birthdays) so that they could celebrate with their good friends in Illinois before moving.  We have made it a priority to make special time with some very dear friends and family who we are going to miss tremendously. Slide1 As we finish packing our last pieces of luggage, and as we say many good-byes, please pray for our family! In Christ,  Cathy Lynn

Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. In that day you will say: “Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted. Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world.” Isaiah 12:2-5

  1. God is good all the time and all the time God is God. Praise be to his Holy Name and blessings on his obedient children.

  2. It has been quite a journey for you the last few years in preparing for this long awaited departure. Thank you for sharing the steps along the way to where God has led all of you. Thankful for His provision for your support, housing and transportation. He will continue to meet each and every need. I understand how hard the good-byes will be, but also know how excited you must be to see how God has brought you to this place of answering so many prayers. I’m excited of you, and look forward to hearing how God continues to work and lead you.
