do not worry

There are times when worry wants to consume me, when fear tries to beat me, and when my circumstances attempt to overcome me. There are days when my mind begins to spend more time thinking about the what-if’s, and about the uncertainties of life.

At these times, I need to stop. I need to be quiet before the Lord. I need to go to Him in prayer, and let the Truth found in His Word overwhelm my thoughts and feelings.

Dear Lord,  Help me not to worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.  Help me to trust in You, with all my heart, and lean not on my own understanding. In all my ways, help me to acknowledge You. You will make my paths straight.

Needing You today and always,

Cathy Lynn

Prayers from: Matthew 6:33-34, Proverbs 3:5-6

  1. I love this. It seems the older we get the more we worry about our loved ones I love you CathySent from my Veriz

  2. Hi Kato’s,

Your post today was powerful. It ministered to Dawn and I in letting us know we are not alone as we struggle with anxiety/fear and trusting the Lord for our journey. Thank you for sharing the challenges you face.

How can we specifically pray for you all? We know the transition you have been through in shifting the focus of your ministry and have prayed for you regarding that transition. But what specifically or what other areas can we pray for you that are challenging you to trust in the Lord. Please let us know so that we can be more informed in knowing how to pray for all of you.

    We miss you tons.

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow,
