Have you ever asked…

What can I do to help the poor?

Development economist and professor of economics and international studies at the University of San Francisco, Bruce Wydick, told Christianity Today that people ask him how they could help the poor. And after much research, he could confidently say, sponsor a child. (Christianity Today, June 14, 2013)

GlobalFingerprints is the child sponsorship ministry of ReachGlobal, and I have been asked to join their team!

The vision of GlobalFingerprints is to transform the most vulnerable children in the world with the fingerprint of Christ. They want to accomplish this by meeting the spiritual, educational, medical, nutritional, and other needs of children through partnership with the local church. Almost 3000 children are sponsored through GlobalFingerprints in Congo, Liberia, Zambia, Haiti, Panama, Lebanon, India, Indonesia, and Myanmar.

I will serve as GlobalFingerprints Director for Africa. I am blessed to join this ministry that I am totally passionate about- a ministry that God is using to change lives and give the most vulnerable children hope for today and for eternity.

Please pray for me and my family as I transition into this new role! We look forward to what the Lord is going to do!

With hope, Cathy Lynn

  1. Thank you, Cathy, for your recent posts! So good to hear about how you enjoyed the holidays and that God provided and place and time to be encouraged and refreshed! Thank you to your whole family for your faithfulness in what God had called you to do!

And thank you for your willingness to serve on the Global Fingerprints board. You’re right…investing in the life of a child is truly life transforming! We have seen that in the community where our daughter, Lori and her husband, Victor work. Just helping the children attend a good school has been a blessing to several families on their national staff.

I’d like to post your letter and the picture of the little girl on our Harvest mission board….is that o.k? We’ll continue to pray for you and your family and team!!

    • Hi Carla,
Thank you for your encouraging, thoughtful note. And thank you for praying for our family and team.
Yes, you may post my letter and the little girl’s picture on your mission board- no problem 🙂

      In Christ,
      Cathy
